Chapter 1943: Big Chunk

The hall is in shambles which is not surprising; it is not only due to the spatial rifts but also due to anti-theft formations that had activated completely or halfway.

Over the past six to seven centuries, many people have come to this place.

Taken things and also lost their lives in it and this ruin had not come to our world only, it had taken the stop at the other world too, at least once before reaching ours.

Still, I had come as this place had treasures; even scraps here would help me greatly in collecting the resources I needed.

I looked at the hall in front of me, and soon, I stopped as I spotted a thing that had created a twinkle in my eyes.

A murky green color stone is the size of my leg.

If I am not wrong, then this is a largae stone, a very precious type of stone that is used in the creation of artifacts; it vastly enhances the energy conducting properties of the totem artifact.

Back in the day, its grade was very high, but now it had reduced to the husk, but still, this husk would be extremly useful to the people of my world and me.

I will need about a few ounces for my core creation, the first size for my totem artifacts, while the rest, I could sell for a high price.

This big chunk is not far away from me, just fifty meters ahead of me, but the problem is, it is slightly dipped into a fountain of liquid fire which is coming out of broken formation.

The fire seemed to anti-theft measure which had been eroded with time.

If I take that big chunk of largae stone, I am going to disturb that fire, and formation and formation might react in a bad way, or nothing could happen.

I would have solved this formation, but it is half merged into a fountain of fire it is releasing, so I want that huge chunk of the largae stone; I will have to take the risk and take it out with a more direct method.

I thought for a while before I decided to take the risk but not for before I made some preparation, and when I have done with it, I started to take a step back till my back was nearly touching the closed door.

I want to be as far away from that thing as possible; if it blew up, I would have higher chances of surviving.

With that done, I released the four hair-thin strings, and within few seconds, they had reached close to it before they drilled inside it.

The lower part of the stone is touching the fire, and I don\'t think my strings would survive the fire despite them being extremly strong.

So, instead of enveloping the big stone, I made them drilled into it, and it took them few seconds to do that.

Now, that string had pierced through the stone, it was time to bring it to me.

After taking a deep breath, I controlled my vines, and stone began to lift into the air gently, as it did.

The fire fountain reacted a little before stopping; seeing that, I also stopped and waited for half a minute before starting to lift the stone again.

This time, there was no reaction from the fountain other than liquid fire that was stuck to the base of stone going to the fountain, which is a little regrettable as I can think of more than a hundred ways to use this extremly hot, extremly dense liquid fire.

Soon, the last drop of liquid fire fell back into the fire fountain, and I quickly moved the stone toward me till it appeared in front of me.

I looked at a big chunk of Largae stone before I flipped it back and looked at a place that was dipped in the fire with twinkling eyes.

While not a single drop of fire had remained on the Largae stone, there is still something precious.

It must have been dipped into that fire for hundreds of years, as it had elementalised the dipped part of Largae stone.

It is excellent news for me; the fire elementalised part would be many times more precious than the regular part, especially for me.

Even though I had collected the main material and supplementary materials of the fire element, the more, the better.

Fire is the most common element, lots of people will want this thing and even pay a high price for it.

I placed the chunk of largae stone after I finished observing it.

This piece of stone here was no treasure that was kept here but part of the ceiling.

Even divine crystal here was used as a light source, so one could imagine what type of person the owner of this hall was, which is why there is barely any treasure that the original owner stored had remained here.

It is written in the notes that most of the treasures that were here were taken by the owner itself, and those that remained were taken by the people that came here.

I already knew that, and I had no come for those treasures; for people like me, everything are treasures here, all things this building is made of would be considered a treasure, as I had said, the owner of this hall had used the divine crystal as light source, as long as I am able to find even a single light source, my mission would be completed.

Still, it would not be hard; there are many people who have come here, they might have taken all, but I would still keep looking.

I might get lucky and find a divine crystal.

With my hopes high, I took one cautious step after another, avoiding dangerous rifts and broken formation, and soon, a small smile appeared on my face.

I had found another treasure, and this one, even rarer than the big chunk of that largae stone, could be said to be only a level lower than the divine crystal.
